I am 24 weeks along with my 3rd child. But for some reason I don't think I am feeling movements like I did with my others. Every once in a while I will feel hiccups but honestly, not really the baby kicking. I have tried lying on my side for an hour after drinking some Mt. Dew, but still nothing. So I was wondering if this can be normal in pregnancy or should I have an ultrasound done?

My last appointment was 2 weeks ago, and the heartbeat was 135. The doctor said that was good, and there was no concerns. With my first born child, the heartbeat was 134 and he was very healthy.

I felt the same way last week (I am now 24 weeks). I didn't feel the baby kick as much as I had the week before but this week, baby is dancing away! I was really worried too but it turns out it was nothing. I know it's hard not to worry but there shouldn't be any problems if everything was progressing normally at your doctor appointment. Take care.

The fact that you've not felt your baby kicking much needn't necessarily be cause for concern at this stage, but if you're at all worried I would seriously suggest getting yourself along to your local ante-natal clinic and having a chat to a midwife there. She'll be able to put your mind at ease and arrange an ultrasound if necessary.

Talk with your doctor about your concerns. They should be able to assist you. There are many normal things that could cause the difference, but you know your body and you should trust it. So, call and ask the doc! Good luck.

When was your last visit? Was everything ok then? Did you have a strong heartbeat?

If you are concerned, call your doctor.
