Here in the US, it's an excuse to Party.

Do people there celebrate and how?

(We eat Corned Beef and Cabbage - no idea why!) (and drink beer - I LOVE Guiness, any excuse is a good one!)

I'll ask my fiancee(who, I believe will be celebrating)who lives in Great Britain. I don't know about the rest of the UK, but I know Ireland(which is NOT part of the UK)do celebrate it. Though it's a bank hoiday(like a legal holiday here)and they do have some dandy parades about the island and craic(partys with music, singing, and dance)and Drinking, which includes Guinness, which is made in Dublin by the way.
