I would take her baby stuff shopping. It will be exciting for her and show her that you are excited.

You could then take her out to dinner and discuss where to register, planning, etc. As a gift, I would give her a gift card to a maternity store. She will get to go shopping and be excited about being able to wear maternity clothes in the not too distant future.

Jewelry is always womderful, but it fits any occasion. I think doing something distinctly 'baby' will be more meaningful.

A date to a nice restaurant and then a trip to The Baby Depot or any baby store so you can get ideas. It's never too early for planning and looking at prices and things. Then a baby journal so she can write down what crazy foods she craves. What the babymakes her throw up and when her body started reshaping and other little things like that. She might also love a neclace that says 'mom' or a little baby foot.

ha ha. You are funny. I love Mother's Rings. My hubby is making mine this year for mother's day, but I would have loved to have it while preggo or right after my son was born. It's a ring made of the birthstones of the people in the family -- in whatever order you want. It would include yours, hers and the baby-to-be. You can add more stones as the family grows. You can get a mother's pendant or a bracelet too. How fun and what a sweet thought!

I am glad that it is your baby, you never know about these things especially on here. Why don't you get her a nice book on motherhood or a nice maternity dress and take her out to a nice dinner. Or better yet take her away for the weekend since in a few months you won't be able to do that very much anymore and get away just the two of you.

Well, if she is your wife I would hope that the baby is "indeed yours". How have you confirmed? I didn't think that DNA testing is done until after the birth. What you can give her is your support, help her out with housework, go to her doctors appointments and be interested. Give her your time. Congratulations to you both, Daddy!

I think a pregnancy journal/scrapbook would be very cute. You can put sonogram pictures, have places to put notes to the new baby, pictures that show her getting bigger, pictures from the baby shower, etc. It'll be a lot of fun, and it's very personal and unique. It'll give you guys a chance to celebrate the pregnancy continually, and create a beautiful memory for your whole family. Congrats and Good luck!!

One of the three-stone rings would be appropriate (they stand for your past, present and future). But, I've always heard of giving her a gift when the baby is born, that way you can get her a nice ring or pendant with the baby's birthstone.

My husband bought a bunch of those expectant father books so he could help me with everything... His knowledge about my pregnancy and everything after helped me out alot... He also took me out to a nice restaurant followed up with a shopping spree for maternity clothes. It was the best thing he could've done...

My husband bought me a dozen of giant roses with a card saying how happy he is and promised to spoil me rotten for the next 9 months.

I wish that promise applies for life time, but ok, I'm not going to be greedy, it's good enough for now, he's pampering me :)
