7 months isn't very long to ttc. There are many woman in their early 20's that take up to a year. The average healthy woman can take up to a year to conceive. It's considered completely normal. I'd keep on trying!

If I wanted more children I wouldn't give up so easily. Your husband should go in for a semen analysis. If that comes back ok, then you should go to a Reproductive Endocrinologist. That dr. does blood tests which should identify the problem. It may be as easy as being put on clomid or other med. You may also have to decide if you want a child enough that you would go through IVF is that's what it takes.
Good Luck

it really depends on your age (i assume you are older though). they say if you are a woman under 35 has been unable to get pregnant after one year of regular, unprotected intercourse, or A woman 35 or older has been unable to conceive after six months of regular, unprotected intercourse, or A woman has had a history of three or more miscarriages, or A couple has a known risk factor, such as a history of genital infections or pelvic inflammatory disease, a DES mother (a mother who took diethylstilbestrol, a synthetic form of estrogen, during pregnancy), irregular periods, undescended testicles, etc., or A man's semen analysis shown a low sperm count, poor motility (movement), or poor morphology (structure) then you should see a fertility specialist. i think you and your husband should go see a fertility specialist. good luck.

Only you can decide how far to take things. I would start with the least invasive and expensive thing: get an ovulation kit and see if you can pinpoint ovulation. If you have no success, you then have to see how important it is to have another baby as there may be a medical problem. Only you and your husband can make that decision.

It is harder to get pregnant the older you get, but it could just be bad luck (or even bad timing). It could be his fault, too, don't forget.
