I have read the life of Pi, and also, The facts behind the Helsinki Roccamatios & other stories.
Have you read these and if so what did you think.

I've only read the Life of Pi, it took me a while to get into it because of all the religious stuff at the beginning - I'm too much of an atheist to have the patience for that. But once he was in the water with the animals it started to get really good. It was quite allegorical and symbolic and I liked the relationship between Pi and Richard Parker (the tiger) - I doubt I would read again myself but I would probably recommend it to others. I think it's a book that some people would really take to heart, I'm just not one of them.

I thought The life of Pi had plenty of symbolisim...I can see why it's a good story, but it wasn't my taste...I like fantasy better, so I can't give you an accurate answer!
