not as good as they used to be when my Gramma would hound us for talking with full mouths, chewing with our mouth open, and having our elbows on the table. Now I do that to my kids! lol
Now? Um, I tend to take much too big of bites, and eat really fast. But when in a proper situation, I'll also watch what I do carefully, including where my elbows are. lol
So I'd say my manners vary according to my mood, situation and company.
;o)

If I wear a hat, I remove it as I sit down. I say grace. If the meal requires a knife and a fork I cut with the knife then put the knife down. Take my arm off the table that held knife then eat the bite on my fork and repeat. Never eat with mouth open or talk with food in my mouth. Never let a fart go at the table. If I need to burp I do it in my napkin. I never reach in front of someone for something, I always ask. I practice these manners at home and in public.

I'm not completely rigid when I eat out, but I make sure that I have good table manners, good posture, not being sloppy, etc. I have to add though, that when I'm out with certain friends we do pick off of each others plates.

When I'm home I sometimes don't even eat at the table. Often I'm on the couch at dinner balancing a plate on my lap while I sit criss-crossed legs(indian style they call it). But still I'm not a complete slob with the way I eat. Although I do use a lot of napkins.

I eat fried chicken, fried fish, pizza, ribs, french fries and crab legs, with my fingers, and then I lick 'em. I eat everything else with a fork, knife and/or spoon, whatever the meal dictates. If you give me more than two forks, manners or not, I will ignore them, because it's just plain silly, to use a different fork for every morsel. (It's all going to the same place, for crying out loud!) I don't talk with food in my mouth. I don't make bodily noises at the table. I put my napkin in my lap. If I'm eating out, I leave a tip.

When I'm out and in I eat with my fingers. Food tastes better that way. Plus there's no fork in the effing way!
