Winthrop is understanding. I dont think about Niagara(dont know much about them but by the way Kansas is playing they can steamroll by them). Arkansas i can understand because they equally match with USC. Standford(dont watch them much but since they in the Ivy league that doesnt make much noise, Louiville will crush him.
Anything can happen though.

Niagara is a horrible choice against Kansas, the difference between the Big 12 and the MAC is huge, and a 1 seed has never beaten a 16 seed, especially the play in team that only has 3 days rest after playing a fairly close game against Fla A&M.
Everyone is saying Winthrop can beat Notre Dame, but I just don't see it. ND has great balance inside and outside, and Russell Carter and Colin Falls both average 3 3 point makes per game and 17.2 and 15.4 ppg, respectively. Kurz and Harangody both average double figures inside. I realize Winthrop has only lost 4 games this season, all to teams that are a 4 seed or higher in the tournament (UNC, MD, Wisconsin and Tex A&M). But Notre Dame can score too well from the outside, it will take a great defensive effort from Winthrop to have a chance.
Arkansas was 7-9 in the WEAK SEC west, no team finished above .500 in that division. USC has beaten Arizona twice this season, as well as Oregon twice (3 seed) and Washington once. They have a couple of great guards in Nick Young and Lodrick Stewart, both of whom shoot better than 40% from three point land (45.5 and 44.4%). USC only allows 64.1 ppg, I don't think Arkansas will have much luck on the offensive end. The only reason Arkansas is even in the tournament is because they managed to win 3 games in the SEC tournament.
I don't think Stanford over Louisville will happen since Louisville has been on fire the second half of the season, winning 7 in a row before losing to Pitt in the Big East tourney. They also have wins against Pitt and Marquette this year. Louisville also got a nice draw and gets to play near home, while Stanford has to travel across the country. Stanford does have the Lopez twins inside and a pretty good guard in Anthony Goods, but I don't think that they have the depth to hang with Louisville, who have 8 players who average over 5 ppg.
I think if you're looking for an upset, go a little deeper and look into ODU upsetting Butler. ODU has great guard play and played really well this year in the CAA. Also, Georgia Tech is young, but I think they have a great chance of upsetting UNLV. GT played very well towards the end of the season and even scored a win against UNC. I also like Villanova to beat Kentucky with their guard play, Michigan St to beat Marquette now than McNeal is out for that game, and Texas Tech to beat Boston College.
Stanford's not in the Ivy league, btw, they play in the Pac-10.

Winthrop almost seems favored since Sunday, with so much media attention. Notre Dame's an excellent shooting team, but they didn't play that well in the Big East tourney. Winthrop is a solid hope for an upset.
Niagra is just plain stupid, no offense. Kansas is possibly the hottest team in the country right now, and rest assured they will end their first-round upset slump.
Arkansas played in a weak SEC and an even weaker SEC west. They had a nice little run through the SEC tourney, but honestly don't even deserve to be a #12. Despite USC's terrible loss to Oregon, expect them to bounce back just in time to lose to Texas.
Stanford is too young to beat Louisville. Pitino has his team hot at the right time, while Stanford has struggled throughout the season. Maybe next year you can count on Stanford, but not this year.

Niagara will not beat Kansas. The others may be plausible, although I picked the favorites in those three games.
