Yes Davidson would be a good pick...they've got some great 3 shooters. But i've actually got Old Dominion beating Davidson in the second round. You're right though, the midwest is full of potential upsets. Winthrop is a dangerous, underated team to keep your eye on.
In the West, i think Southern Illinois has the potential to go deep...as far as the elite 8. They've got some dangerous guards.
In the East, If you're looking for a 3-14 upset, Oral Roberts over Washington St. would be the one. G. Washington could possibly make a run as well.
In the South, i've got Creighton over Nevada. Although, Nevada is a great team. If they beat Creighton, i think they've got a good shot at Memphis. I think this is the best 10-7 match up though!

A lot of people are talking about Winthrop. They have big players, previous tourney experience, and the desire to win. The can definitely beat Notre Dame, and possibly Oregon if they can catch Oregon off-guard.
Davidson is a good choice. They are smart and efficient with the ball. If Maryland plays poorly and arrogantly, Davidson can pull the big upset, which would leave them with a favorable match up against Butler or ODU.
Even though Gonzaga is no longer considered a "cinderella", and now more of a perennial bracket-dweller, they have the potential to move into the Sweet 16 from a #10 slot. Indiana isn't that great this year, and Gonzaga should have it in for UCLA after last year's season-ending debacle. Sure, without Heytvelt, the 'Zags aren't the same, but they are too dangerous to simply overlook.

George Washington if you want a mid-major, but a team most don't expect to do well that may because of seeding is Duke
PS George Mason wasn't much of a bracketbuster, they were ranked during the season and I had them beating Carolina and losing to UConn only a one game difference

I'm going with Wright State as my upset this year.
I love their coach!! Don't know how realistic this is, but what the heck, there's is always a few big surprises! That's what makes March Madness so much fun!
