Okay, I took a HPT this morning (FMU) because I've been TTC and I was anxious. It is a little early, my period isn't due for a few days. The test was negative in the 10 minute time period. However, after the 10 minutes there was definitely a faint positive line. Do you think this means that I may be pregnant and the hormone is still just really light, or do you think that the tests can get this positive line after the time is up on the test? Just curious (and so impatient!)

My sister had that happen with her first pregnancy. She took a test and it said negative so she took another one and it said positive then she went back and looked at the first test that she took it the line had finally showed up to being positive. Take another test and you should get your answer. Good Luck and Congratulations if you are pregnant.

I took two tests. The first was 4 days before my period and the other was two days before my period. The first test, i got a faint line after 2 minutes the 2nd test the line was darker within a minute.
Anyways, the test is no good after 10 minutes, it says that in most of the instructions so I would take it as negative and try to wait for your period or at least test w/in 5 days of your period which I'm not sure if you did or not.

after a certain amount of time, lines on the pregnancy test are not valid. If the lines didn't form during the recommended setting time, you're not pregnant (or hgc levels are not high enough yet). Read the directions, some do say the second line will form after the test period but do not indicate pregnancy. wait until your period is due (and late) before trying again.

I would use another test and see what happens. This happened to me when i was pregnant with my daughter. The line was really faint so i took like 5 more tests (lol) and they were faint too. So i called the doctor and when i went in there the test was really dark and they also did a blood test. Good Luck and best wishes.

The test can get a positive result after the time frame to read the results. Thats why they state to not read it after a certain amount of time. I know because this has happened before when it was negative. But u never know, wait the few more days you have and test again.

Please test again and see a doctor. Most HPT's will say on the box that they are invalid after 10 mins. I wouldn't bank on that. But that doesn't mean that you aren't preg.

i would test again using clearblue easy's digital test. It will say pregnant or not pregnant. I just hate those lines.

yeah, just get the digital one, those line tests are always like light lines or barely visible and you always end up doubting yourself :) Good luck to you!

i say yes! trust me...b/c it couldnt detect a pregnany hormones if its not there...so, it must be there!....good luck and a huge congrats!
p. s no more test untill you go to doctor!
