It's the other name we give to Comic Relief - a charity first set up in America which gets comedians to help motivate the public to raise money for Africa.

You can buy Red Noses from shops - part of the money goes to the chairty. At school, kids get to go to chool in fancy dress or take part in sponsored events to raise money. The emphasis on Comic Relif or Red Nose day is to do wacky and ammusing fund raising.

There's normally a specially made charity single released. This year its Girls Aloud vs Sugarbabes which if you're on the other side of the planet you're probably lucky enough to have heard of neither acts.

Red Nose Day is a charity event for Comic Relief. It helps a lot of different charities home and abroad but rather than based around a variety style telethon its all comedy based.
