I get soo jealous and I'm always having nightmares that he is cheating on me, I'm not an insecure person but my worst fear is that he will cheat. Whenever he tells me something that happened to him like a girl talked to him, or said he was cute, I just get so jealous. I could be having the best day but if he says something involving a girl I just get so mad and it ruins my day. He has friends that are girls so I know I have to understand that but he is very attractive and nice and I know a lot of girls like him he just doesnt realize it. I also might think its because we are in a long distance relationship and I wish I saw him more so I get jealous if girls get to hang out with him, or he's talking on the phone with a girl and not me. Why am I so crazy about it?

This situation is alot harder in a long distance relationship, the only reason you are having dreams is probably because you have a trust issue, maybe an ex cheated on your or something, or maybe you are just generally scared to lose him because you love him. you are not obsessive, you are in love, me and my girlfriend were like this for the longest time (its a long distance relationship) but things like that seemed to cool down as the relatioship settled, although sometimes I wish it hadn't.

One of the hardest things to deal with in a relationship, or in life for that matter, is jealousy. It's a VERY hard thing to get a handle on if you are a jealous person. I suggest you get counseling of some sort, because this kind of thing can work against you in all phases of your life. I've seen jealousy ruin marriages, friendships, families, jobs, etc., and it's not worth it.

Go get some help. It's in your own best interest.

Good luck!

I totally understand. I was in a long distance relationship for almost 2 years. I lived 5 hours away and he lived half an hour from his ex. Even though I know they were broken up for good and werent even friends I would get jealous only to the fact that he was closer to her than I was.
Now that I look back I just want to smack myself for thinking such stupid thoughts.
This jealously feeling is completely normal. The problem here is that you have to control your feelings and begin to gain trust in your man or you will lose him. The future holds fights and bad agruements of accusing him of cheating. You to gain confidence and optimisim.

I hear you girl. I have similar problems. But you have remember jealousy is caused by insecurity. Has a man cheated on you in your past relationships? Maybe thats why you think this boyfriend is going to cheat on you? What has he done to make you have such little trust? Just because he talks to a girl doesnt mean he is going to drop you for her. Remember he is with you for a reason! Because he cares about you.

This quote just about sums it up

"Jealousy in romance is like salt in food. A little can enhance the savor, but too much can spoil the pleasure and, under certain circumstances, can be life-threatening." ~Maya Angelou

I am the same way. He used to always tell me that I was just insecure but 3 months after I found out he had cheated. I think when us women start having serious doubts its for a reason. All I can say is try not to worry about what he is doing. If you care about him, you want him to be happy. If he happy with you he won't hurt you, and if he isn't and he cheats let him go. You deservesomeone that will make you happy and that you will make happy.

That's normal for girls to be that way.
of course one might take him from you
its called life
I wish you the best
I hope you can try to give it to the spirit of God and try to deal with this in a good way
I have been obsessed with girls
Its best to try to control your emotions before they control you

Sarah, your problem here is not your boyfriend nor how you feel about him. The problem lies in yourself. My guess is that you do not feel sufficiently secure in "who is Sarah." If you have adequate self confidence, issues such as jealousy concerning your boyfriend will simply disappear. However, it might become necessary to have the guidance of a counselor to uncover why you lack adequate self confidence. Good luck on your journey, Sarah.

Oh no... you are not insecure... not at all!

My guess is that you are too immature to be in a relationship. You should be dating several guys. Trust me on this one.

Try to think to yourself "If we did break-up, what would happen" ?
So that means if he decided to go out with some other girl, you would leave him and find someone better-right? Someone who would be faithful. Why would you live being worried about someone's behavior?
YOU can find someone better if you had to :)

Let's say your fear are real. He is cheating on you...NOW, what does this mean...will you now turn into a pumkin or something, will you die for lack of air?
If he is doing this...it doesn't change YOU!
