Lately it seems that the people who hold office whether democrat or republican are part of the Council of Foreign Relations (CFR). It seems that our constitution has been repeatedly compromised in the last century over and over again by both parties. We lose are liberties guaranteed to us by false crises. If we are so serious about the middle east than why have we been force shaping (downsizing the military) since 1991? I am concerned about the North American Union. Is the United States pushing towards globalism and tyranny. We hold the U.N so high but the countries who hold power in the UN repeatedly bash the U.S. and are usually the biggest abusers of the earth and the people on it.

As long as we allow ourselves to be like sheep to the slaughter, our country will continue to go down the drain. I think the farther we get from the constitution the worst off we will be. the courts play a major role and contribute to this as well.

From the very beginning we have had two major factions in our country. The right who was started by Alexander Hamilton and the left started by Thomas Jefferson. Hamiltonians became Federalists, then Whigs and now are known as Republicans. The Jeffersonians were once called Republicans and then Democratic-Repbulicans and now just Democratic. The Hamiltonian faction has totally fallen apart twice in history where the Jeffersonians, despite name changes have modified their party to fit the times but have been largely in tact.
Hamiltonians favor a strong federal government while Jeffersonians prefer government be stronger at the local level.
Hamiltonians have a stronger foreign policy while Jeffersonians have a stronger domestic policy.
Hamiltonians favor big business and the wealthy whild Jeffersonians favor the working person and the small farmer.
Hamiltonians tend to want to spend now and borrow so as it is paid for later where Jeffersonians want to pay as you go. Sometimes referred to as tax and spend.
Hamiltonians would prefer to remove all minerals or trees from a piece of land and move on where Jeffersonians prefer to take minerals and trees but plant new growth for the future.
While most people will identify with one or the other of these two general philosophies few are 100% for the entire package. People tend to say I side with one or the other because they agree with most of that side's tenets.

yup, our country will always split it two and even more groups. the thing about the UN is the USA tends to be bias in defending one country it forgets about the other. thats why other countries dont really like whats going on. we're not pushing towards globalism and tyranny, heck the government has already reached that point and is pushing much further.

We are actually split in 4. There are @sshole, power hungry, democrats and republicans, then there are your average 'fighting for what they think is right' citizens... both democrat and republican. Unfortunately if the 'fight for whats right' people want to get anywhere they have to back their lobbying, power loving, friends.

We need to make it easier for third parties to get on the ballot. It just takes too much money.
We also need to term limit to prevent these political careerists.
