chances are its a wheel bearing. take it to someone you trust and see which wheel its on. there about $150 - 200 a piece. so you can do it yourself, or let a mechanic do it.

good luck.

It means the is a problem with your antilock brake system, which is co-related to your ets or "electronic traction control system. You need to take it to a shop & have your abs system scanned.(most likely a wheel speed sensor has dropped out)A quality shop should be able to diagnose & repair it for you in about 1-1.5 hrs.Note: when the lights are on your abs is no longer working, but your normal power brakes are fine.Good luck

see this at work a lot.the wheel speed sensor will "drop out" while driving causing the ebcm (electronic brake control module) to turn on the abs.ets & svs lites this can be check with a scan tool there should be a troubl code storedin the ebcm it can be verify by driving the vehicle while watching the wheel speed data on the scan tool. its likley a wheel speed sensor if it shows up on the rear wheel be sure to check the speed sensor "jumper"harness

You bought a piece of junk just like I did. My 2003 Grand Am is inferior to every imported car including Kia. And, the final insult, my Pontiac is also inferior to the Ford cars I have driven.

my g/f has a 01 grand am gt and her car does this sometimes. if she turns her wheel real hard one way or the other b4 moving, they come on, but go off later.
