Me & this guy have been friends for a while & a few days ago he just comes out of no where and asks me to prom. I said yes but I don't know if we're going as friends or as a couple. When we're together he sometimes acts a little nervous but he doesn't act that way all the time. I have no idea how he feels and I don't just want to come out and ask him. I need some answers.

I've been single for two years. I think I've been in this situation once or twice. Start a conversation about feelings, try to relate about something, ask how he feels around or about you. Usually, of you can understand and relate to someone, it helps them express their truths.
I think of it as target practice. You aim for your point and try to fire. But remember, you can always miss too. So its a risk.

Wait and see! How important is it for you to know? Girl, you will find out when he drops you off at home anyway you know, (the infamous "good night kiss"!)
Don't spoil it by hoping for it because it may not happen either.
You can ask him, " Honestly, Was I your first choice?" if so, he obviously likes you!!!

he likes you, he's just feeling the same way you are... afraid to screw up the friendship by admitting there is more to it.
