i think the goverment should go after real drug people not a bunch of jocks

have they checked the tennis and ping pong people
what about the guys that are on the Pro Fishing Tour
and what about the guys that play poker

Once you get payed to play a game it isn't a game any more it becomes a way to make a income. And now the goverment is going to tell ME that I can't improve myself to make the most money I can.

Once steroids get involved, it's no longer a game of raw ability and training. It becomes a game of who's willing to pay for the best steroids or chemical enhancements. The imbalance in what training people can pay for is bad enough, but it can be evened out.

Also, it makes records meaningless. Breaking the old rushing record on steroids doesn't mean anything if the old record-holder didn't use them - everybody will always wonder, "Could he have done it without the steroids?"

As for the other sports you mentioned, they are sports where raw power can be out-matched by speed, dexterity, or (in the case of poker) intelligence, which are not enhanced by steroids.

But if you aren't good enough to compete at a professional level without steroids, it's your call.

Here is another take the fans put so much pressure on the league to make it faster and more exciting which then spills over to the players to do anything in there power to please not only their owners but the fans as well, thus any edge they can get.
