Even many items labelled "Faux Fur" have been tested and found to contain dog fur and raccoon dog fur (raccoon dog is an animal species found in China. It is NOT half dog, half raccoon.), among other animal fur. I have known about this for a while and have been writing my senators, etc. to try to close the loophole in the Fur Products Labeling Act. It's good that this is getting the press it is and angering enough people. When that happens, more gets done to chnage things for the better.

Saw it on the news this morning and to check your coat you look where the hair ends and if you see skin, like animal skin then its dog but if you see mesh material then its fake.

Yes Ive known that for years, also they eat dogs as well as other animals,we would never dream of killing let alone eat them and then wear their coats. I live in UK and I never eat chinese or any thing from oriental take-aways or restaruants. They also use Tigers penis and other parts for medicinal use,WEIRD.!!!

I'm sure there are - China is fur-capital. Are you sure it has to be real, can't you just settle for fake fur? Do you agree that helpless animals should be killed for fashion?

Yes I knew that and what's funny is the retailers that sell these items pretend that they don't.
