ok well i caught my b/f of two years with another girl... he says that was the first time he has cheated. i made a appointment to get everything checked (stds) but i really am avioding the thought of going. they werent naked or anything...should i belive him and think that was the first time...or go get checked...

Please keep the appointment and be checked out. If he was cheating on you then he is could very well be lying about how many times and how many partners. Getting checked will also give you piece of mind and you won't always be wondering. Please ask the doctor about being checked for Hepatitis also. It is on the rise and can possibly be spread through sex. Chances are you won't have it but just to be safe as long as you are being checked out anyway. Good choice of not going back with him. You deserve better than that.

For your own peace of mind and protection, definitely go get a full exam and tested for all STDs.
There's a chance he's telling the truth and this was the first and only time. There's also a bigger chance that he's a jerk who's been doing this for quite some time and heaven knows he's probably not been thinking about YOUR health while he was screwing other women. Take it from one who knows first hand about this sort of carelessness on the part of a partner/spouse and STDs.
Take care of yourself, because no one else will.

I think you should def get checked! He was about to cheat on you. He is a lier for almost cheating first off! So he is most likely is lying about not cheating on you before! To be safe, I would go get checked! This way you know for sure and you dont have to worry with "what if's"!!!

Its not very likely that you have something. But its always safer to get checked. You're being very mature by deciding on never getting back with him & to get checked.

the likelihood of you having something depends on what hes done with other individuals~ and it sounds like you cant be too sure about his actions. id say go get checked to be safe and forget him~

If you had unprotected (no condom) sex with ANYONE, there is a chance you could have an STD. Yes, you should get tested for everything.....including HIV.
