Yes totally agree, patsies like Huge Grunt who always act the foppish idiot (i.e himself) don't do it for me. Oliver Reed was a hard act to follow and got virtually no recognition for his screen presence and acting skills, not to mention his good looks. I agree with you, where are the British movie stars - there are none.

Ewan McGregor
Orlando Bloom
Euwan Griffiths (Spelling??)
James McAvoy
Jude Law
Clive Owen
Colin Firth
Ralph Finnes
Daniel Radcliffe (don't go telling me he's a boy. I've seen the photos! LOL Ok, maybe not YET)
Tim Roth
Christopher Eccleston
Sean Bean

(I'm presuming you mean younger men)

So do you actually mean phsically imposing actors with that kind of presence? That's about the 'beefy' type of actor not the leading man thing. And I think Sean Bean can at least claim to be on the Crowe, Gibson scale in that respect.

There's loads of them around - you probably just spend too much time watching overpaid Hollywood types.

I agree with everyone else's lists - the young and the old there's plenty of range amongst them all.

Sean Connery is British by the way.

But you missed out also: -

Christain Bale
David Tennant
Alan Rickman
John Hurt
Gabriel Byrne
Rhys Ifans
Chiwetel Ejiofor
Liam Neeson
Ralph Fiennes
Joseph Fiennes
Johnny Lee Miller
Michael Sheen (was great in the Queen)
Rufus Sewell

and those are just the ones I like - so there!!

I think you'll find that there are a number of good British male actors at the top of their game. Take Daniel Craig (James Bond) for example. Clive Owen, Ewan McGregor, and Jude Law too.

As a British nationwide devoid of genuine performing adventure that's going to be quite puzzling which you will have interplay the entertainment industry in united statesa.. despite in case you have been a pro actor with action picture credit it may well be very puzzling. you would be able to desire to talk with an immigration lawyer to appreciate the time and expenditures of shifting to united statesa. and turning out to be legal to artwork right here. it is not much less costly. once you ask approximately being a acceptable type actor, you would be able to desire to appreciate that no person right here operates off of being inspired with skills. At a undeniable point it comes right down to the money and experience of marketability. As in, can your call safeguard a funds for action picture or no longer. while you're no longer Jason Statham or Gerard Butler the respond is not any. Your call would not recommend something and la already has hundreds of unemployed gifted actors, which incorporates different British nationals who've already made the trek over right here. so which you would be able to desire to handle this profession such as you may the different. From the floor up. in case you haven't any longer any sturdy adventure or education as an actor then you certainly could desire to get some in Britain. you would be able to desire to construct your resume and your funds so as that if and once you do opt for to come again to united statesa., you may handle to pay for to stay right here and you'd be able to handle to pay for the immigration technique which will finally enable you to artwork right here. that's merely no longer hassle-free. all the different Brit actors i recognize, pro actors with significant action picture credit have taken a minimum of three years and a few thousand money to try this. comparable for Canadians. good success.
