Personally I did about 14 years in the performing arts industry at various levels. This really does help... and gives you a good grounding for the wide variety of situations that one encounters as a teacher.

Eventually I did a PGCE in drama teaching at the University of Central England In Birmingham. They have a great course there. Then you need to find a school willing to take you on as a teacher and turn their GCSE programme into the BTEC. Done that too and it is good fun.

Good luck with your plans.

I executed the alternative instructor application to get my M.Ed and certification. I did this on the college of West Alabama, and that i did my pupil coaching with my Masters, so I did recieve some coaching adventure with my degree. I additionally replaced into able to try this application in some 3 hundred and sixty 5 days. You do approximately 30 hours in preparation training, and 25 on your project section. you would be working on your Secondary preparation degree. This option application is an exceedingly super one.

Just find a local 4 year college with a state approved teacher education program in performing arts.

Start volunteering with under-16s, experience with 'the kids' etc, and begin swatting up on educational theories/developments etc. Learn as much as you can about the courses you want to teach...
