I'm sorry that you've had to deal with that, and I think it's excellent that you want to prevent it. Some suggestions I have for a career field are psychology, criminal justice, social work, and child and family law. You'll have to work hard, but these careers are worthwhile. Good luck.

Criminal Justice is always a good option. You might want to try child psychology if you're interested in helping deal with the victims and the aftermath. Volunteer anywhere you can that has to do with helping victims of violent crime or the criminal justice system in general, you'll get a better idea of what, specifically, you want to do. If you want to be more involved in prevention/justice though, consider forensic psychology. You learn about some of the most disgusting things people can do to each other, and people will think you're a bit odd, but at least you'll be helping put perverts behind bars.

Well, in your specific local town, call non emergency police and ask them. They can tell you not only what field to start in, but also put you in touch with local groups.

There is a lot you can do now, on your way to a career. GOOD FOR YOU!

I think that your best course of action is to go to a good law school and get a masters in trial law. From there you can become a prosecuter.

psychology, women's studies, law, etc. you can volunteer at a rape crisis center or helpline or women's shelter in your area to start getting involved. and the people who work in those places will have experience and advice for someone who wants to help. helping other people will also help you solidfy the ways that you can best contribute and start to narrow down fields of study, etc.

Child psychiatry. You can get them while they're young.
