I prefer LCD screens, and here is why:
First of all, they take up less space than standard CRT type screens.
But second (and more importantly), an LCD screen does not "flicker" as a CRT does. the liquid crystal pixels are addressed at the refresh rate, but do not go dark between address periods. This eliminates the "flicker" which is associated with CRT-type displays. Much easier on the eyes.
