Why is it then that an intelligent life is often a tortured life; a life that however seems to be in a state of constant compliance with the order of the physical world is in fact deeply unsettled and restless in being. This is true that an intelligent mind can always sense more than what can be grasped by the reason, that there is more to all things than what meets the eyes. An intelligent mind behind an intelligent life is never able to experience contentment upon what it has as knowledge; it always tries to expect things beyond all expectations, and anticipate beyond all possible anticipations; the possibility is the norm here and endless searches the course of living for an intelligent life.
An intelligent life, therefore, is by no means is a happy life, or at peace with the world or with itself; it is as opposed to a wise being in existence always confrontational, argumentative and critical of all things observable or perceivable. Then what makes things even worst is that all things are done most intelligently, both good things and bad things - the moments destroyed in complex thinking, the hours lost in brooding upon the nature of things both good and bad all alike, and the days spent in profound contemplations of the deeper meaningfulness life itself.
One can save himself from the strongly driven, curious and always wondering powers of an intelligent life only if one manage to know that intelligent alone can not guide us along, or show us the way. Intelligence can only pave the way for us to travel upon with greater wisdom of things in life, wisdom that we learn through love, understanding and compassion with fellow human beings. I would say, we might not be very intelligent but we can still be wise and happy in life.

Intelligence is the ability to learn & understand, the ability to cope w/ a new stuation. So, intelligent life is just that. But....It is often referred to as another life force outside of Earth, because although we are intelligent, somewhere else, there may be a being that uses their entire brain..

the ability to survive and adapt is the first sign of intelligence, may it be genetic or biological.
In that sense you could say that HIV AIDS is a bit more intelligent than human beings,as for now it is winning "the war", and we are just trying to limit the damages.
Otherwise, intelligence is the ability to find solutions to problems, in a general way.

Intelligent life...
- doesn't start wars
- respects other life and their surroundings
- looks for solutions rather than causing problems
Are humans really that intelligent?

Intelligence is judged by the number of mistakes you make. Of course, the less mistakes, the more intelligent.
