Although I have only seen Judge Judy a couple of times, my guess is that the lady is a retired judge and is probably late sixties to early seventies.

Well she graduated American University in 1963. Let's just say she was 18 when she began. Which would put her at say maybe 25 when she finished Law School in 1965. That would make her around 67 years of age now. No way she's still in her 50's
