I am 19 male and cant decide what music genre or what I like with music, i cant find enough bands and songs. I find alot of things in life hard to decide this including, whats cool for 19 males that i can maybe get in to and i needs lots of bands?

Um, well... yeah, you really should decide that for yourself. Everyone has their own kind of music. You should listen to the radio or if you don't have one, listen to music.yahoo.com and figure out what YOU like. I mean, all music can be good to me, but you might have something in particular. If you want to be up on the newest and best bands right now, yahoomusic can probably help with that as well. Good luck!

Try out lots and ask your friends to recomend some. Don't listen to it just because its "cool for 19 year old males". Listen to lots and decide what YOU like, not what everybody your age likes.

If you are sincere stay away from any kind of rock,totally avoid hip hop, metal, or any other garbage.
Start with simple classical, advance to blues and jazz, showtunes, and good pop Ellington, Sinatra.
STAY AWAY FROM ANY KIND OF GARBAGE

You should listen to different radio stations for like two weeks each, and decide what sounds best.
I have 3000 CDs and I love everything except rap.

What you should do is go borrow a couple of your buddies cds and listen to them if you don't like them start listen to classic rock like Journey, Kansas, Rush, Jethro Tull.

That requires your personal likes and dislikes. Either you like certain music or you don't. You don't need us telling you whats cool or what isn't.
I personally like almost all the music out there. I'm not picky, and I don't care what's hot or not.

listen to what you want,dont be a sheep and follow what everyone else is listening to be individual personally i like bands who are not that major like local bands and stuff

you can try getting into, r&b, hip-hop, some rap et al...
listen to daughtry, billy talent, eminem, ludacris...just watch mtv and you'll find the best music suited to your taste.
