I'm about to buy my boss (AND some of my coworkers) a pair of Italian river shoes.

I've got more work than I can handle, and I've been staying late almost every day. Of course, I can't get any help here, and we cannot afford for me to quit this job.

I've tried talking to people about the stress load, but no one really cares. I'm 30 weeks pregnant, and it's been getting really bad for about the past 2 weeks.

I also just found out that the job I work was a FOUR PERSON JOB before I got here. How's the stress going to affect my unborn daughter, and what can I do to minimize it? Talking to my boss just isn't working.

You don't need to talk to your boss you tell you boss that you are being over worked.Your unborn child comes before anything. If you boss does not do something go talk to someone.Your boss can get into trouble for not taking it easy on you.Your and your babies health is extremely important.Don't just let them walk all over you do something about it.Good luck and congratulations on your new future with a bundle of joy!!!!!!!!!!!!

Make sure you get some relaxation at home. For during work, just do what you can and leave the rest. Don't pressure yourself. Your baby will be ok health wise. I'm mom to 3 and worked during 2 of my pregnancies. I just let them know, this is what I can do right now, if that isn't good enough, I'm sorry.

I'm with Little C. Do what you need to for yourself and baby. Are you required to stay late or is it just your choice trying to get finished? Are you being paid for it and if so do you really need it? If your boss isn't helping talk with someone who will listen and help. I know that my workplace has an anonymous number you can call for counseling and advice maybe yours has something like that. Good luck.

I also went through a lot of stress when I was pregnant it just turned out that all that stress really does affect your child....My little girl just seems to cry more as if though she has been through so much with me but I think apart of what you can do is cherish her! Cause she was there with you to keep you HAPPY when you were stressed....and what I think you can do is just look at her clothes or sonograms and think of how "YOU GET THOSE SIX WEEKS OFF; THANKS TO HER" Good Luck!

high blood pressure resulting in premature labour is the most extreme case. speak to your HR department (if you work in a big company) or try and find a friendly senior member of staff. Ensure you are taking proper breaks and leave on time. Your and the babys health are most important
