It comes all the way down to what the prevalent public discover proper, that's why AR agencies attempt as an instance the cruelty in production facility farms and slaughterhouses. some hundred years in the past they used to entertain the crowds in england by ability of putting cats on hearth. Cruelty and human rights regulations reflect the zeitgeist. We ought to shift the zeitgeist to work out a shift in the regulations. Gage wouldn't have cared about it tho, on condition that his frontal lobes were destroyed. As his spouse suggested "Gage isn't Gage anymore"

People need to stop being so picky and sensative.
First of all their Pokemon, not animals. That is what they are born to do.
Secondly, IT'S A CARTOON!
Finally, enough is enough with the whole animal protection thing. I can see torturing a cat being a bad thing, but all of this is going overboard. I eat animals because that's what they are for. This show does nothing to animals, and promotes cruelty to animals in no way what-so-ever.

The Pokemons were born to fight. They could take care of themselves.
Defenseless and feeble animals, they were not. If the humans ever went overboard with them, they could shock, freeze, and paralyze each and every one of them.
Think of the Pokemons as warriors, not animals who need puny human laws to protect them.

See what you have to understand in their society, that is the only thing to do. You rarely see anyone on that show watching TV or playing football. Plus these animals dont die, you have never saw one pokemon die.
To me it is like when people make pitbulls fight in the hood. But picture if your pitbull had super powers, cant die, and were legally able to fight each other. I think i would do it to!

It's a cartoon, dude. The producers probably realized that if they had made it so there are people "defending" the pokemons' "rights", there would simply be no show.
