It's a sport of thugs, tatooed up the nose and heads ne'er do wells, at least they are not doing drugs like baseball players.

Find me a form of entertainment where the stars are not on drugs, have no tatoos, have no personal life issues, and ARE what they claim to be, and maybe I'll follow that instead.

Just because someone has tattoos or dresses a certain way, it doesn't make them a thug. Stephon Marbury has tattoos, for example. Does that make him a thug? He and a lot of other NBA players do a lot of charity work and do a lot to help underpriveleged kids. Starbury is a good role model for kids because he cares about the world and he's helping to make it a better place. And, basketball is a very exciting sport to watch, and most of the players aren't thugs or bad guys, despite what the stupid media likes to portray. In every sport, there are a few bad apples, but that's not the majority. All the NBA needs is to come back to NBC, because there is no other sport in the world more exciting than NBA basketball.

well i guess you can say the same for baseball and football too then huh.... there are plenty of "thugs" as you call them in baseball and football too pal!
listen... just because some players look a certain way and act the way they do doesnt make them a bad basketball player. as long as they've got talent and skills, that's all im looking at. fans like me watch it for the sport, just like i would with baseball and football and any other sport too. if they are a "thug" or whatever else you want to label them, that's their own personal life... leave them alone!

Basketball is a very fun sports to watch. It is a high pace action sports not like other sports its boring like soccer only 2 to 3 goals a game. In basketball you can score up to a 100 more points So its the excitement I think.

The real question is why do you waste your time asking a question like this??? Why does anyone enjoy a certain hobby?
Basketball players are no different than any other professional sports player or entertainer for that matter. I watch basketball because I enjoy watching the GAME. I'm not concerned about what they do in their private time or what they look like.....

Yup, and no hockey players have tattoos, or are thugs, huh? There are some in every sport. If you don't like it don't watch it, but your reasons why basketball is not a sport to watch is ridiculous since athletes in every sport have the same characteristics/problems.

don't be too offensive or opinionated about basketball. it is a popular sport in which players have the heart of playing and being associated with. it is not different than baseball or football, the other two most popular sports in the U.S. because it's about the importance of actually playing the game.

do u even know what ur talkin about? the nba does more charity work then any other sport. they are the number one selling sport as far as jerseys and shoes and other merchendise. also they are the most well known athletes in the world so maybe next time before u ask a question u should do a little homework first idiot.

isnt hockey the same sport that just handed out a 25 game suspension to a player for hitting a guy with his stick after he got checked into the glass?
if thats not thuggery, i dont know what is...at least in bball players dont use sticks to fight. granted, many of them cant throw a serious punch anyways.

yes your completely right.every kid in America wants to be a sports star when they grow up' and i don;t think sports stars are showing good quality;s in young people.the way they always have big brawls and all.my son 10yrsld try to act out what they see the basketball players doing like jumping on the other teams if they say something that they might think is wrong.....and all that money they make'wow..i used to take my son to the games [baseball'basketball] but i can't afford $60.00 dollars just to have a seat 600 feet in the air...you almost have to have a good job and lots of cash' just to see a home team play sports.....that's too crazy,,,,,,,,,,,
