I can see that happening, they are already trying to ( maybe they have already) ban smoking in a vehicle where a child is present. It's not too far fetched to think that in the next few years we will no longer be able to smoke in our own homes. The hard thing, though, will be enforcing it.

like many said, it's already being done, but as far as banning you from smoking on your front porch, or back yard, I don't really see that happening. Actually in Canada during dry time in the summer, in BC, if you're caught smoking in your front yard, you can be fined, because it's a fire hazard.

There already are places in CA where you can't smoke in your condo because the smoke decreases the value of the common areas and other units.

Maybe. Most likely. Depends. If it's your own land, I don't think it would be fair, but if it's an apartment, then that's their choice and I wouldn't complaint about it.
