I know absolutely nothing about these sorts of things. All I know is that I went I turned off my computer/hub-thing last night and this morning when I turned it back on the green lights (except the one furthest at the right) on the hub are not on. I called BT but their advice (something to do with the CD I first used when I got the connection) just confused me.

I have a BT hub and used to lose connection if i turned off my computer (I've never turned off the hub itself), so now I leave my computer on.
Try switching off your computer, then unplug the hub (or switch it off at the mains) for a few moments; plug the hub back in (or switch back on at the mains), leave for a couple of minutes and then turn your computer on. With luck, your connection will have returned.
If not, try unplugging the hub, uninstall the hub's program from your computer then reinstall using the cd you received with your hub. You'll have to set up the hub again using the cd.
If this doesn't work, try calling BT again and pray that you don't just get someone in a call centre in India reading from a script!
Good luck!

if you are talking about the BT homehub then the last light on the right is the data one. Leave the hub on by the way.

If all the others are up then the hub is connected to the broadband but your computer is not transmitting for some reason.

Try rebooting your pc if you haven't already, if you have already done this then restart the homehub again.

The server near to u has 100 slots and there are 110 people like to have internet connection at the same time. so only 100 people can get the connection. wat about the other 10 people. they have to wait till one of them in 100 people has to leave a slot. Might ur in the same catogery waiting for the solt in DNS server.

And can u pls tell me the light status on BT Home hub.

My connection failed to connect last week for no apparent reason. Message came up on the connect box saying that the connection had failed. I left it for a few hours then went back to it but it still wouldn't connect. From there I contacted B.T. ( a nightmare to try to find the correct department with a million options to pick from) and I got a pre-recorded message stating that they were having computer problems and their engineers were trying to fix the problem. I left it overnight and retried the next morning and bingo it connected. Perhaps this the problem and not the complex one they have given you advice on. Alternatively you can un-install the router and then re-install using the C.D that came with the router and see if that works. Computers are fine as long as they are working o.k but if they go wrong and you are not computer illiterate they are a nightmare.
