I didn't. Our first child was 7 days before due date and our second was 17 days before due date.

It's very unlikely. A due date is just an estimation of when doctors think a baby will come. It isn't the actual date that it will happen. The chances of you having your baby on the due date are less then 1%. Although a baby can be born anywhere from 2 weeks before to 2 weeks after, sometimes later. Most doctors won't let you go too long past your due date before they induce.
My first was a month early. She was preemie and was in the hospital for almost a month. My second was 2 weeks early and perfectly healthy. I'm hoping this next baby (I'm expecting in August) will be about that too. I tend to go early, so usually they take my due date and minus two weeks. But it all depends. This one could go past due. It all just depends on the baby and when it wants to come.
It's actually more likely that you will go late then early. Since most women never know the real date of conception. And since you are really pregnant for 10 months, not nine like everyone says, there is a very big chance your baby will be born after the due date. If you are healthy and your baby is fine and you have no real medical problems with pregnancy, it's better for them to be a little late then early!! ;)

My best friend Laura did. Which was amazing because she didn't go to the doctor until she was about 6 months (bad choice, but she was young and scared), and they just went from her size and the baby's size and said May 20. Her bf's mom threw her a baby shower on that date, claiming that all first babies were born late. Then they had to have her baby shower without her because she was busy having her baby! Only about 10% of babies are born on their due date, my pregnancy books say.

My wife actually had her due date changed 4 times by her doctor. All of the days were different, and within a week of each other, and in the end, he nailed the day right on!!!!

Yes, EXACTLY - I think he even arrived around the same time of conception 9 months earlier - lol!!
My due date was 24 March, which was Palm Sunday in 2002, and my little boy was born at 3:30 a.m (approx. time of conception!) on 24th March.
I'm pregnant with number 2 now, due date 30 April... I'll let you know, although I've been told there's a risk of her coming a little early as she's so big!
:-)
