I quit smoking for my 24th birthday like i always said i would. I decided to go cold turkey but i really feel like i need a *** or even just a drag of one! All my friends smoke and i work in a pub, it's becoming very difficult, should i stay cold turkey or go to my gp for help????

well done! keep at it.I gave up after smoking 40 a day for about 10 years and i'm only 31.I used the patches.worked great for me, that was 3 years ago.If i can do it anyone can.Good luck!

well done 3 days cold turkey is very diffficult so youve done really well especially when faced with all that temptation. when you go cold turkey all the nicotine is out of your body within 48 hours, so you are technically not addicted to the nicotine anymore, what you are craving is the carbon monoxide, and the poisons added to them. if you can manage stick it out as the hard bit is done, if you are really going to cave in get something fast from gp or chemist. keep strong, think about what you are gaining from giving up rather than what you are missing out on, which is really a smelly, expensive slow lingering death!!!! well done girl.x

well done you. yes you are doing well go see your gp they will be happy to help you i used the patches and they do work. i hope all goes well and take one day at a time. just to let you know that most people only give up smoking on there third try. but hey you are doing brill. keep going
