what is the professional's preferred method to move the solid bits that are wedging this #&%^@!!&* alternator, making it impossble to get it out of its metal coccoon??!!!!

Well, my first attempt might be an air hammer, to rattle the rust free, the next step would be heating the case, but that can cook bearing epoxy on wires etc, the last step is to become enraged, and wail away with the hammer.
