If so, did you get off of them? Did you wean yourself off?

Yup! Unfortunately, zoloft not only killed my sex drive, but also made it very, very hard to climax. I was on zoloft for a year, then got off and went to effexor. My doctor weaned me off of zoloft and I had no problems with that. When I went off effexor (I'm trying to get pregnant, and you can't take that when you're pregnant) I was sick for a week after my last dose!

I'm actually back on zoloft now, even though I'm still trying to get pregnant. Zoloft is ok to take when you're pregnant, if you have to take something (it looks like I do). But it sucks trying to make a baby when I have no sex drive. Fortunately my husband is very understanding

YESSS!!! I hated it... I started taking a smaller dose and eventually I weaned myself off. I than started taking Lexapro which does not have nearly as many side effects as Zoloft. Losing your sex drive can make things worse in your relationship and how you feel about yourself. I would definitely look into Lexapro. You will see a total difference between the two. Good luck with everything.

that is one side effect to Zoloft.. talk to your doctor, they can give you something for your sex drive. If they don't, then ask for a different anti-depressant. Not all depression meds has this side effect...
If you get off Zoloft, you do have to wean yourself off of it.
For instance, if you are taking 100mg's per day then drop down to 75mgs for 1 week, then down to 50 the next week, and so on... Good luck

I took Zoloft and my sex drive was normal. I stopped cold turkey with mine and I didn't have any side effects. I was only taking it for 3 months though.

I have been taking Zoloft for 12 years and it hasn't bothered me,HOWEVER, no one is the same.It may affect you that way.I would go back to my doctor and explain this to the doctor and there are other anti's they can give you.Sometimes one's age does this to them, young or a little older,it can bother you and they can give you a hormone to take in case your testostrome is low.
