Well, if this is not your first visit, and depending on your practitioner's style of practice, he/she will most likely check your weight and your blood pressure, you will have to pee in a cup so they can check your urine for sugar and protein. You will hear your baby's heartbeat. They will measure the size of your uterus to see how it corresponds to your due date, and they may or may not check to see if you are experiencing any swelling of your hands and feet. If you have been experiencing any unusual symptoms, then today would be a good time to share them with your practitioner. It always made it easier to me to write down any questions or concerns that I had regarding my pregnancy, so I wouldn't forget to ask my doctor. Good Luck.

At my first appointment, i replaced into 8 weeks. They did some blood artwork, requested some questions about my well being, did a ultrasound (they had to positioned it in the v----- considering that I wasn't very a procedures alongside. in spite of the undeniable fact that it did not damage in any respect. it replaced right into a touch bitty issue). They heard the pulse and that i have been given to work out the newborn on the exhibit. They gave me some %.. I also had a pap smear that day considering that I hadn't had one in over a year. Then I replaced medical doctors earlier my 2d appointment and that i'm nevertheless going to the 2d position. i'm no longer particular what may have befell on a 1st appointment at this position, yet i know they in undemanding words do one ultrasound and that is round 20 weeks, so i do not imagine i'd are starting to be one on the first appt there. without doing an ultrasound i do not imagine they could be able to hearken to the pulse at 6 weeks. inspite of an ultrasound you received't be able to hearken to it this early. in case you wanna know in the journey that they do an ultrasound basically call the physician you'll and ask.

I am currently 33 weeks and for all of my Dr's appointments until now have been pretty much the same. They check your weight, measure your tummy, take temperature, blood pressure, leave a urine sample. The only difference in the past was the glusoce test and blood drawn and that's about it.

If this is not your first appt then they may do an internal just to check you.......If you already have has that done then they will check your tummy in measurements, check the heartbeat and schedule you to come back in 4weeks! If they have an U/S machine then they will look at the baby and sometimes they will give you a script for an U/S.....

Well, I hope this isn't your very first appointment. If it is then you will get a PAP, bloodwork, pee test, go over family records, you will be asked your LMP if you know it.
If it's just a regular check up they will listen for the heartbeat and probably measure you and ask how you are feeling, that's pretty much it for now.

They might schedule an ultrasound...to see the sex of the baby and the heart.

Are you over 40? Have they discussed amniocentesis with you? That issue will come up in your next appointment.

Your appointment will probably be just like all the others. Just checking vitals, checking the fundus length ect. You probably will or have a Ultrasound set up soon..if not, you should have one soon.
