Your best bet is to have them sent overnight by air. This is how most fish are shipped to pet stores.

I would suggest having someone ship the fish to you after you have arived at your destination. Or if you have someone at your destination, shipping them the same day you leave and having that person pick them up and hold them until you arrive.

I definitely agree with everyone about needing to ship. 56 hours traveling time is far too long for fish to go without a lot of things, but most definitely, oxygen. There is no way that you could provide enough oxygen for that long a period of time. Plus, the stress of being confined for that long would be just way too much for them. The only option you have is to have someone ship them to you after you arrive. But, do not leave them in charge of the actual packaging. There are very specific requirements to the proper packaging of aquarium fish that most people would not know how to do. Make the packaging arrangements before you leave with a very knowledgeable, reputable fish dealer. This way, the person who would be bringing in your fish for packaging and shipping would only need to bag up the fish to bring to the pet shop and, then once the fish are properly packaged, take the package to Fed Ex or UPS for shipment. Do not use the US Postal Service. I have heard horror stories about how packaged fish are received from them. Good luck!

I agree that you would need to have them shipped to you. Wouldn't be possible for you to transport yourself because of the long hours involved. Ya don't say how many or what kinds you have. I moved mine myself, but it was only a 4 hour trip.

They sell carryon online or at pet shops depending on how many. What kind of fish. You may have to ask a moving service to deliver them to where you are going......
