I saw on msnbc today online that youtube is getting sued by viacom because people are uploading music videos onto their site without permission.

I hope it doesn't turn out like what happend to napster... I understand that piracy is changing the music industry but, those people make enough money anyway. I would much rather buy a song that I actually like for a dollar on itunes than buy a whole stinking cd for fifteen bucks... You know?

They've been sued by Viacom a few months back. And the same thing will happen then. Videos of TV show episodes on Youtube will be removed. It's pretty sad too. Also, I know about the music videos too. The good music videos that I saved are being deleted too. I still have a few on there but lots of them are going away. In summary, I think it sucks.

nowadays, people are actually downloading songs from the internet illegally and i feel applauded that you would rather pay a dollar for just one song to be downloaded legally....

i personally feel that there are going to be some changes for youtube with regards to the conditions in uploading the videos and things like that, to prevent itself from getting sued again...
