Write about something that interests you! In my experience, reading what someone is enthusiastic and knowledgeable about is the most interesting thing to read! It could be about banana slugs in Santa Cruz, CA, but if you are interested in it, that enthusiasm will carry through!

Write about the history of a hobby, something you do all the time, something you *want* to do! Do you want to travel anywhere? Do you find a news story that catches your eye? Do you have a pet you could write about? If you have a dog, you could find information abotu domestic dogs...

You could also write about something that happened to you, something that happened to a friend or family member? Was there a time in your life that you see as helping you do be who you are? Did you ever help someone who needed it? Did you ever do something you were proud of? People generally are also attracted to interesting personal information that they might not have known about you!

Lastly, you could just browse through news stories, find something you like, and then do some background research! You can go through the dictionary, point your finger on a page and see what you get!

My biggest advice is to stick with something that gets you interested! If it doesn't interest you, how can you make someone else be interested in it?

Good luck!!

" SPACE SHUTTLE TO EVENTUALLY BECOME OBSOLETE "

The Space Shuttle has had serious problems over the past twenty years. The loss of lives on the Space Shuttle Columbia on February 1, 2003, and the Space Shuttle Challenger on January 28, 1986 were horrible tragedies. With the recent flight of the Space Shuttle Discovery, which narrowly averted disaster when the insulating foam, once again broke loose from the bottom of the Shuttle, we find the shuttle program once again grounded for an indefinite amount of time.

After the Columbia catastrophe, a board of inquiry faulted NASA for treating the shuttle as though it had become a reliable space 747 instead of a work in progress, which it was then and still is. NASA engineers' inability to solve the falling debris problem after more than two years and hundreds of millions of dollars is a strong argument for dropping the shuttle program completely.

I start by writing off the top of my head. Or just grabbing any random object laying around and start writing about it. It has to be something you have an interest in though.
