I was looking at buying a record player for my husband. The brand is "olympic bsr" found it at a store but it has no needle for the turntable. How much would it be to buy a needle and do i need to look for a specific type of needle or are they all the same? It plays 78, 45, and 33 if that makes a difference! As you can tell I don't know much about record players!! I dont even know if Olympic is a good brand :\ If you have any advice that would be GREAT! Thanks a ton!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You need a specific needle for the specific player. You also might have a harder time finding one today than 20 years ago when they were the way to play music.

The store is selling a record player with no needle? That's like buying a car without tires! If they don't have a needle to sell with the record player I would NOT buy it - Not until they or you can find a source of needles. I don't think your husband would appreciate a record player that you didn't have a needle for it.
