nothing, i think there just random items.

Forgot to add, played this for weeks on 360, and I never found a use for them.

As for plants, just explore! Get off the main roads and hit the countryside, lots of different plants. The more you experiment, the better your alchemy skills improve,and so your potions become stronger. You will find certain plants will grow in certain areas. To get the best results buy the best equipment as well. Sorry cant think of individual ingredients for specific potions offhand.

That kind of stuff is just clutter. The hour glasses used with lettuce and telekinesis makes for a pretty fun bowling game.
