The naval piercing takes a bit longer than other piercings to heal. You need to clean it regularly and don't take it out, that will only take longer to heal and it could infect it. Don't use scented soaps until about 6 weeks into it. The average healing time on naval piercings is around 6 weeks, it could take longer if you don't care for it properly or it could be less if your body heals quickly.

Two weeks is a little too soon for the redness to be gone. When the redness will actually go down depends on how well you care for it and how quickly it heals. These things can take a while to heal, but as long as you take care of it and don't wear tight clothes that rub up against it, the redness will go away. Probably in about 2 more weeks.

Two weeks doesn't seem long but the more important assessment would be if the site is tender to touch, draining any fluids, has a foul smell, fells hot to touch or is swollen! If your answer is yes to any of the above you probably have an infection and may need to see a doctor. Should of, would of, could of but I hope you followed the instruction your technician gave you ie. clean it, ice it and cover it until it heals.

When i got mine done they said it will be red for up to a month. There is this cleaning solution that i got and it isn't very expensive either called H2 ocean and u can get it in the foam so if it hurts u don't have to touch it. good luck with the piercing.

I know a few of piercers. It can take up to a full year for a naval piercing to heal. Keep cleaning it with anti-bacterial Dial.
