1. Ignore the critics. You may as well get used to accepting criticism and turning it into a positive. Be motivated by it, then forget about it. You can't change how other people feel or act. You'll deal with it in the work place, so you may as well get used to it now.
2. I am a little confused about the English exam. What do you mean that you were failed by 5 marks for improper presentation? Was this a fair grade? If not, you have a right to appeal it. You are asking this in the Higher Education section, so I presume you are a college student. Talk to the professor and challenge the grade if you do not like it. If they do not change it, then talk to the Dean of the department.
3. If the grade IS fair, then you just need to learn from the experience. Mistakes happen. Life happens. Maybe you didn't work hard enough. Maybe you didn't spend enough time on it. Maybe you just had a bad day. It happens. Learn from the mistake. Ask your professor how you can improve. The ability to learn from your mistakes is as important as not making them.
4. What kind of friends do you hang out with? If they are treating you badly, maybe you need new friends. Think about it. BUT... maybe they are NOT being mean at all. Maybe you are just reading into everything because you are upset. Evaluate yourself and determine if the problem is your friends, or if it is really you. If it is you, then work harder, have some fun, and forget about it. If it is them, then get involved in some other things and find new friends.
5. If all else fails, go to your school's medical facility and tell them you are having depression and anxiety problems. Maybe some therapy or medication will help you get through this better. In fact, talking to a doctor to eliminate any medical reasons for your stress is always a good idea.
Good luck!

I saw lots of good answers here - but most of them failed to mention one very important thing. Talk to your teacher! See what kind of grade you can come out of the class with if you perform at a certain level the rest of the class. See if they offer extra-credit. If they are a good teacher, they will help you do your best in the class. They may even look over your assignments in the future before you have to turn them in and give you suggestions. Or, if it is a writing assignment, is there a writing lab available to you that can help you?
Ignore all the critics, as hard as it may seem. Everyone has moments like this, you simply aren't human if you haven't. Pick yourself up, learn from it, and hold your chin high! You can do it!

First: there is no such thing as failure, just learning experiences
Second: If all your "friends" are treating you that way; they are not your friends. Real friends don't point fingers. Don't let them rent space in your head. It's all about you and your education and your future!
Third: Tell your parents that they need to support you or shut the Eff up.
What will this matter in one year, in five years, in ten years? When your married and have kids...if that's the life you chose? Look at the big picture. Don't put yourself down! Ask your teacher what exactly was the problem? Were you nervous. He or She should not fault you for that.

This experience can be the deal maker or breaker for you. Everyone will fail at something, it is not the fact that you failed that is the big deal but how you handle it.
You can either use it to learn and improve yourself, or you can use it as an excuse to keep failing.
Many students that thrive in school before college never learn how to accept a failure and break in college. Don't become a failure just because you had one bad test. Pick yourself up and pay attention to your presentation the next time, learn from this experience.

I failed a class for the first time in college. It was devastating. I almost dropped out. Instead, at the advice of my student advisor, I started adding discipline to my life. I started dressing better, keeping my room neater, improved my sleeping habits, etc. I dug in, retook the class and got an A-. Today I am very happy and successful.
In a few months, or a few years, you will look back on this as a mere bump in the road.

Welcome to life. It is ok to fail a test once in a while. Since you said you now the information and it was just the way you presented it, just practice the format. or act the teacher to go over the test with you and tell you what it is you did wrong. I cant really suggest anything for you friends and family with their non-support. Also do the extra credit assignments, see if there is a tutoring service at your school
