i feel this! its realli getting me down!! im 14 n i still wish i could just play around, but i no my friends wont and i would feel stupid if i just did it!!! any ideas 4 what i could do? and do any of you feel the same?????? :(

Make sure you dont grow up to fast! Im 17 and time flies! I had to grow up fast. I got engaged this year and am graduating i a few months.
I'm happy about it and everything...but I wish sometimes I could go back to the way things were in middle school when I didnt have responsibilities and everything
Just remember to work hard so you can achieve your life goals. Make sure that you never forget who your real friends are and dont waste your precious life on syupid little things

As an 18 year old, I feel just the same. I miss high-school, but at the same time, there are good things about being my age (and older). You have to make due with the time you are given. I have a younger brother in grade 6, and he loves it when I play with him (ie. making snow forts and playing lego, etc, lol) so I get to let out my inner child once in a while. My advice is live life to the fullest (actually LIVE it), and be happy that you are still in high school. I loved high school, it was the greatest time of my life.

From somebody who is 30, I can tell you that you have plenty of time to grow up.
Screw what your friends think. Play around, and if they give you a hard time, find some different friends, or give them a hard time right back. I can tell you that there's a big part of most 14 year olds that still like to play around. They're all trying really hard to pretend they're grown up though.
The real question is if you want to be who you are, or if you are going to let your friends define who you are.

if ur friends dont back u up on everything then they arent true friends...ur only 14 u have a lot of time to grow up. so if u feel like playing around then do it. ull have a time in life when u shouldnt "play around" per say...but having fun is good at all ages...it sounds to me like ur friends are growing up too fast..enjoy ur teenage yrs while u can. im 16 but im graduating high school and more than likely moving out after i graduate..so im growing up too fast but i still like to have fun. its nothing unnatural. im friends with 19 yr olds who ive known forever and they still like to play around...so do it if u wanna do it. who cares what other people think.

good question, i think that kids are growing up to fast, at least for me the same thing happened, when i was 14, everybody changed, all anybody wanted to do was "hang out" drink smoke and stuff, dont do it, is all i want to tell you, dont miss your life up at that age, find some frineds that still want to do what 14year old kids should be doing, dont grow up to fast, you only have like 16 years of your life to enjoy being a kid, after that your an adult for the next 60, so enjoy, nothin wrong with hanging out some times, but please stay a kid.

Hey im 14 too and i feel the same way to some times. But my real friends know who i truely am and don't care if i play around, plus they do it too. Im sure your closest would understand and join in. Sometimes you just need to play around to get everything outa your mind.

im 14 too and i find myself wishing i was 5 or 8 again.
I babysit little kids and actually spend time with them playing the stuff that i played when i was little =]
Hide and seek can be fun!
haha
And you get paid for acting like a kid and the kid enjoys it
It helps me a lot

Actually, i think that i am growing up to slow, then at the same time, i think that i am growing up to fast, and it scares me, because i dont want to get old to fast, i want to have fun like there is no tomorrow! I am 15 and I am going to me 16 in May, the years just go by to fast!!!!!

Yes, people just think that your as old as you think, aging is not really a part of daily activities, it just tells how many years are you on earth, daily activities can be done at any age, but this when you age, you need to be more serious in life coz of the things your going to go through when you reach the 20s

yes, i feel the same, but the diffrence is that my friends and i are the same.. see im 15 right,but my friends and i still play around like losers and little kids... either hide and seek, wrestling, or anything, but the point is that we have fun. dont feel stupid, its just the way you are. you could get real friends who wouldnt care what you did... but dont worry, you will always be able to play around... good luck
