My first pregnancy I had a hard time taking the prenatal vitamins the doctor prescribed to me. I ended up taking GNC prenatal vitamins. I'm 19 weeks pregnant and I started out being sick with these prenatal vitamins and he told me I could go back to taking the GNC but I ended up trying to take them right before I would go to sleep and this had helped a bunch!!! Good Luck!!

Probably just depends on the type of vitamin. I've never had problems with my vitamins, but that doesn't mean I might not with another kind.
I'd ask my doctor and see if they offer a different kind that you could try. My mom said she used to take her's at night and even though she got sick with them, she knew she atleast took them.

I tried to take them with all three of my babies and had to stop everytime. My problem was the iron in them made me sick and gave me a terrible taste in my mouth. I ended up taking a regular multi vitamin without the iron. It was better than none at all and everyone was born healthy and happy. Ask your doctor if this will work for you

with the first vitamin the doctor gave me, they made me throw up no matter how much i ate before or what not. they had a NASTY a*s taste to them too even after i took it the after taste was horriable. I told my doctor and he prescribed me some that smell/taste like vanilla. i dont really like vanilla but its a whole lot better than what i had before... and i can actually keep them down too with food.
I dont usually take them like people say before you go to bed cause i always wake up with a stomach ache and end up running to the bathroom so i take mine with lunch. so maybe try that. Talk to your doc and tell him no matter when you seem to take them, they just dont agree with your stomach.
im sure he will prescribe you something better
good luck and congrats!!!!

I also had a hard time taking pre-natal vitamins. they are so large (or at least they were fifteen years ago) They always smelled funny or I threw them up. My doctor told me that even if I threw them up to keep taking them, whatever stayed in my system was better than nothing at all.
Best of luck to you.

Yes....it makes me so sick.
Get a prescription prenatal from your doc. I take premesis RX, and have no nausea. Also, you can get a prescription anti nausea drug as well.
