I'm a huge Larry Johnson fan, but LT is the best running back in football. No shame for Larry Johnson claiming the #2 spot behind LT.

To the retard that said Larry Jonhson should be kicked out for pulling Troy P. hair.... Why don't Troy P. cut his hair? That was not a dirty play.... I love how TV tells us LT is the best running back ever.... where were all the LT fans 2 seasons ago when Marty " i got fired with 14 wins" said he was the best player ever... everybody laughed then... put LT on the Raiders or Texans and see what happens...

best rb at what? there are too many style of backs to really answer this question.....

overall- you can't dispute the numbers----its LT, not only can he run and catch, but he has proven he can throw TD's aswell...but i would say right behind him would be brian westbrook, i would put him as a better reciever than LT, but no way is he a better rusher

if your looking strictly for a running back- Larry Johnson, not nearly as versatile, but he definately has what it takes to break tackles and move piles

short yardage- without a doubt Barber III from Dallas....he has proven he doesnt have the speed but he has the motivation and strength to shake the tackles and run those 4 or 5 yards needed on 3rd down

All Time- Barry Sanders...the amount he did in such little time was amazing

close second- Emmitt Smith--though no barry sanders he made a style of his own, proving you didnt need to be the fastest to set the records

rb who raised alot of eyebrows but plagued by injury- Priest Holmes---had the potential to be something but plagued by injury

---this season----

rising stock- Travis Henry--in a broncos uniform with a coach that likes to run???? irristable

rising stock- reggie bush- should be used like Westbrook, never will amount to an LT but will be as deadly as Westbrook is with the Eagles

falling stock- Jamal Lewis- continuous downslope but now with the browns he is done

falling stock- (this next season only!!!) Many will disagree but Im going to go with Willis McGahee--the ravens only like to run it up the middle, their playbook has been built around a runner that only could, willis mcGahee provides the talent to run outside, the ravens wont be accostumed to this and will not be able to use Willis to his full potential THIS SEASON

Tomlinson is better than Larry Johnson. True, Johnson had 1750 yards in like 9 starts...but this last season he rushed over 400 times and didn't lead the league in rushing yards or rushing TDs...what's the point of celebrating that many rushes if they meant nothing but him being durable?

LT, this guy is complete. This guy has great speed with great power. He is quick and great footworks. He is a goal line RB and every down RB.He can go out line up in the WR slot and runs pass route, catch, and get yards after catch. He can also run a RB pass options and make touchdown. Has a great arm for his position. He doesnt make much mistakes like fumbling. He can take the hits and he is so versitle that can damage oppenents. He also won mvp and beat Shaun Alexander most touchdowns in a season for a RB.

Come on!!! It's ok to be a fan of his but lets not be blind here.. Emmitt was a good back behind a great line..Thats it...

Any answer other than Ladanian Tomlinson is flat out wrong. The man can straight up play, and better than almost any athlete period in the NFL. Just look at his stats. His rushing yards, receiving yards, rushing touchdowns, receiving touchdowns, and passing touchdowns. The man is a scoring machine.

BTW I am predicting that by the time he retires... LT will be the best RB of all time. I see him breaking Emmitt Smith's TD record and possibly yards record.

Depends what you mean.

Obviously, track record and statistically Ladanian Tomlinson is the best RB in football.

Who in the NFL can be better than him, Mr. Reggie Bush could and will. Therefore, Reggie Bush is the best runningback in football.
