Hi folks,

The DLA was invented by the Tories to get the unemployment figures down. People unemployed and hard up and or bloody lazy, but I must say not all because there are very many proud people out there who will ot claim anything, but there are loads that were on the unemployment, and when the tories invented DLA streams of people that are not genuine strted to see an easy way of making a fast buck, and as the tories made it self assesment, all the vultures came crawling out of the place.

And guess what, the biggest majority have all got back probs, overnight the amount of isabled parking bays soared, infact the road where i use to live, as soon as my bay went up, the old green eyed monsters came out and weeks later there were bays all up and down my road. Walking stick sales soared, infact I had to replace mine but the shop had sold out.

I know of ots of these scroungers and cannot wait untill mr or mrs DSS comes knocking and the so called disabled person is under

their cars working on it, what will they say ? Its amazing to see someone who one min walks as if they are dying nd using a stick, half hour later they realise oh dam I'm out of milk and shop closes in 10 mins, next thing a miracle, that same person throws their dearly needed stick to the ground and goes into a full sprint like a bat out of hell, u bump into him or her runni9ng to shop and no stick, u say to them hell 5 mins ago u were looking as if u were dying and with a stick, now look at u, it must be a miracle, the person shouts out praise the lord for I have been heald, well praise the lord maties that u scroungers gtet caught out.

So now U loot kinow who0 I am talking about, how many of u will admit it that ur a dla scrounger, u do it for the money etc, shame on u lot. Does it ever embarrass u seeing a genuinley disabled person struggle??

One thing for sure, keep claimming because when u get caught, which U* WILL ONE DAY AND THE MORE U SCREWED FROM GENUINE DISABLED

People the more uhave to pay back, its only a matter of time till u get caught and as i said u will, because there are a lot of scroungers out there who didnt get it so as soon as they know ur a scrounger and u fiddled and ot it, they will make sure u lose it. Hard cheese if u do, because u lot bloody deserve to be caught and slung i prison and when u come out u still have to pay back every penny, and ur pic in paper as well.

Re my first answeres who didnt read my question properly. WHEN DLA FIRST CAME Out by the daM TORIES< IT WAS SELF ASSESMENT then u had to have a dr, nowadays we are getting rid of the bad back brigade.

Re this person below my question, Every disabled person I know on DLA was already on incapacity benefit, including myself who has gone throgh hell to get it, so if there are any disabled people out here who have DLA and not including Incapacity benefit, I would like to see how many, as I feel there aint, but life can be a ***** and someone will pop up and say they aint got it.

People dont read properly, when I said bad back syndrome I also mentioned that these people are the scroungers. Didnt 6he bchap who was a miner not read my question which also said there are a lot of genuine people out there who are too p-roud to claim, so to the genuine back sufferers, if this makes it clearer, U are not what I am moanning about, its those sods that have sweet fanny adams wrong with them and screw the dla for every penny, now surely u genuine back sufferers know i am not getin at u guys.

Back to the miner again, I dont think a lot of genuine people like me who nesrly bhloody died of a brain hae4morrhage, suffered umpteen min9i strokes, diabete, bronchitis, athritis, kidney failure whichn(I dont know how long i have left to live but it could be anything now up to 8 years, tons more probs and guess what, u got it I have a weak back , but I have enogh to worry about that my back pain is somehow lessened and I dont bother babout it, I am a cheey big guy of 51 regardless of what I have as I also have a wife and 2 kids that need me, so pleasre get ur fact straight before answering As u may have upset a hell of a lot of genuine disabled people possibly like urself, ur comments were not very nice, its not our fault what u have and havent got, The reason u may be a bit grumpy as the nature of ur answer appears to show u sound grumpy is that u may have left it too late to claim dla, but u can attendance allowance. Just one more addition. I am disabled and rightfully claim the DLA, but only got it after going through pure hell as I also felt eyes were watching my every step, I represented myself at the 4 th and last appeal which was up in front of abut 6 or 7 people on a panel, They were doctors, dss, social services etc, I represented myself and I finally won my case, approx 1 year later I nearly died of ba brain haemorrhage, and this is for starters, how the hell when some people like me who suffered hell and back to prove my disabilities and yet these slobs as one person calls them get it first time, makesvme cringe.

We mustnt forget that there are genuine disabled with hidden illnesses like most of mine, some can walk very well but its not because of the ability to walk thats at question with some of these people there are other quallifying disabilities for the DLA. But its the ones that one min u see them struggle like mad to walk using a stick, 5 mins later they forget themselves

And off they go running up the road like a bat out of hell, and hey where is the stick? So many miracles happening today.

im one of these people... but i havent got an invisible ilness..what i have got is invisble legs... and teh DLA they ignore it... ive got one arm which works, and one which doesnt... the DLA ignored that... i had to go back and appeal their decision... is this country so desperate for skilled workers... (oh, im, or i was, a structural fabricator... but they dont build wheelchair access until after the roof and floors are in. )

oh its alright to pay foreign johnny, whos NEVER paid a penny's tax, or Ni... yet they quibble about my circumstances.. i left school and i went to work... and i paid..from week one, i didnt get any other option.

and yes, the system is open to abuse, and thses abuses cause real issues for us who need the DLA... my car is 20 years old (its a volvo) i last went on holiday in 1986... and im not complaining... i never got any compo... just the basic state benefit... and its not easy... but we live within our means... we may not have th enew car, or the foreign holidays..we dont have any debt either... and how rare is that?

i didnt read all of your rant, but chill out chap, theres a few genuine claimants out here, and when they tighten the legistlation, the fraudsters will get nicked, and as has happened recently, they go to jail... (again supported byt he state) ut youd probably want them on bread and water breaking rocks...

I definitely agree that a lot of the legitimately disabled people are being cheated out of benefits because of the lazy phonies! Here are two examples"

1.) This girl D**chebag Jess. She was 18, no physical restrictions, not the brightest crayon in the box but by no means feeble or incapable. She was a pathological liar who would use/manipulate people for freebies, and made excuses to avoid doing anything for herself. Somehow she convinced her mom that she "couldn't handle" even the simplest job like working at Dunkin Donuts, so that her mom was convinced that she "needed" to be on SSI. SSI!

This same girl also used to constantly lie about being pregnant, and/or would purposely try to get pregnant(e.g., claiming to her bf that she was "allergic to latex" therefore he couldn't use condoms with her). I think part of the reason why she wanted to have a kid, was to obtain state subsidies so she wouldn't have to work. Yep she was a class act! Later that summer, she DID get pregnant, and none of us believed her. She now has TWO kids, and is probably surviving on welfare.

2.) My younger brother, who is mentally disabled. He is 22, and his academic and life skills are at a level equivalent to a 10-yr-old, and that's being generous. The only disability aide that he receives is free healthcare(Medicaid) and reduced taxes on his paychecks. He works at a factory for less than min wage(this is legal, because he is disabled) and God forbid if he grosses more than $2000/yr, and he gets cut off from Medicaid. $2000/yr is PEANUTS! Perhaps if there were less Jess'es around, my brother wouldn't be limited to such a pittance of an income!

So yes, I agree. The "real" handicapped are being jipped because of lazy losers like Jess. I do not know why Jess(and others in her situation) would WANT to claim charity; don't they have any dignity? For example, I was in a poverty-stricken state a few years ago, and I had too much pride to apply for ANY welfare aide. The realization that I'd gone to college, gotten good grades, tried really hard, worked since the age of 14, had ZERO limitations(no chidlren, no hanidcaps, no major health problems), and was stuck being a "charity case", simply because I couldn't find a decent job...woulda REALLY plummeted my self esteem. So I can't understand why Jess and them WANT to get welfare, and talk about it to their friends! What losers!

guess you never worked down a mine for 32 years just thought, i wonder if it is the cause of my BAD back silly me,and guess what i dont claim dla either, but if i paid into the system, i sure as hell want some of it back ,so i can go and have a disabled badge, also more money ,free this and that but i suppose icapacity benifit will do, just remember its only 57 quid a week ,so WE arnt all scroungers, ill leave that for the new migrants,who just snap their fingers and its their also it was the tories remember who put us all on the dole SHORT MEMORY EH.

I have a real problem with anyone who thinks that living on disability is a free ride! My wife had a wonderful career making $60,000. a year and a lot of other benefits before she was injured. Now she lives on a very small disability check. She tried as hard as she could to continue working until the Dr told her no more. It took her 3 years to get disability and she lost her home, her career and everything she had worked so hard for. I am now going through the same thing and trust me, this is no way to live!

People on DLA dont 'self assess' They need to have a report on their health done by their gp, and they have regular assessments by dwp doctors and have to go and have reviews. If you dont have a debilitating illness you wont get it, because your doc cant back you up if youre healthy.
And lots of people on DLA are also on Incapacity Benefit, and therefore targeted by the government to get them back into work.

my mother has a few minor dissabilities, but also has a terminal illness and no she didnt lie to get DLA but my god she should have, it really was difficult for her to get she had to appeal and appeal in front of panels of people who spoke to her like c**p and quizzed her as if she were lying, she has worked all of her life and doessnt have many years left due to her illness, she wanted to give up the claim but i was so angry that i convinced her to go, why should she struggle in the last years of her life after paying into the system for all those years, it really sickens me that lazy slobs who have no real illness feed like leeches off the hard workers in this country, i am for it for deserving causes but you need a degree to know how to get it, a lot of these spongers are so bloody clever at lying they should be working and using those skills, perhaps in the government. cheers for that feel better now i have had that rant, great question. emma
