I love the show. It's good entertainment, even when you don't like some people on it.

I am for sure.....
I make sure to tape it if I'm not gonna be home in time to watch. It's like a drug to me....and I'm not sure why.
My favorite right now is Melinda Doolittle.
I watched the last 3 seasons but didn't vote until
I saw Carrie Underwood....and voted for her all the way
and then last year voted for Taylor Hicks all the way.
Dude, Melinda Doolittle is unbelievable ....she is a true star.
She is going to be huge....and sell many many albums.
Nobody was ever this good so early on American Idol as
Melinda....she makes me cry everytime....
After the season ends I have AI withrawl.
Why is it so addicting?

I hate American Idol, i just lost interest after the 3rd season I guess. It's just the same old crap to me. I mean if they find true talent then that's great but I can't stand the rudeness from Simon, and even Paula is getting on my nerves, Randy just needs to shut up sometimes he is soooo corny to me. Maybe if they had different judges I could watch. Also during season 3 there were so many upsets for me, people that could sing got sent home over others and that really pissed me off. Like I like Fantasia, BUT I knew back then that Jennifer Hudson had a great voice. SO she didn't win, but look at her now. And what the hell is Fantasia doing? First she's all churchy and now she's all Hoochie?? What is up with that? (At least I think it was season 3, I don't even remember anymore)

Not a good season! There are really only a couple of them that should really be there! American idol time is running out if this is as good as they can come up with compared to prior seasons!

I really enjoy it. I think it takes a lot of courage for those young people to perform and open themselves up to criticism in front of such a huge audience. Also, when they're voted off and their dreams are crushed, where do they find the strength to sing one last time? It's very emotional and exciting, that's why I like it so much.

i've got faith such as you do, i like the IDOL and dont experience undesirable approximately it, it rather is the perfect vice. I start up observing in from beginning up until finally end, I could desire to bypass abode previously airing time or record it on my TIVO if i recognize i'm no longer able to make it in time. I hate that show. Too many pitch perfect Celine Dion types. Give me the imperfect voices of Bon Scott or Jim Morrison any day.

OMG...Yes.. I like Stephanie, Lekisha, and of course Melinda.. In the guys.. I CANNOT tolerate the Justin Timberlake Wanna Be, but do like the Jack Osborne look alike... Can't remember their names tho... Smiley changing my hair to look like Justin Guarinni has gotta go too...

No, I don't care for it. I enjoy intellectually stimulating television such as PBS and the Discovery channel, not that rubbish.
