As long as it took for the men in white coats to take you to a place where you can no longer harm yourself or others.

Cats can probably pull about 5 pounds each and assuming you are about 150 pounds it would probably take about 30 cats to pull you up a tree but considering the string is tied around thier necks a few may die of suffocation before you reach the top so I would say about 50 just to be safe.

I'd say between 14 and 20 depending on the cats and the tree and your weight. Good thing to try though. You'd need a dog as well to get the cats to go up the tree.

Depending on what size of cat.. and if they are under the influence... um its preety impossible..say you have like 400 cats pulling you they aren't all going to run up a tree if you chase em..most likely they are gonna go nuts and slaughter you

Well that depends on how much you weigh, and the choice of your cats.Breeds such as Persians are lazy sh*ts and you'll have your hands full there.
However stick with cats, can get messy with dogs, although I would recommend rope rather string.

As the size of the cat increases, until you reach the size of leopard, youd first have to measure their pulling strength. Once you reach the size of a leopard, you have another variable to consider: in the cat or by yourself.

If you had enough to get you off the ground they'd probably think there was enough of them to chase you up the tree!

The answer of course is 17. But only 3 koala bears, those buggers are stronger than they look.

depends how heavy you are, if the cats have been training, how big the tree is, weather conditions, altitude to sea level, time of day, colour of the cats.
Assuming that all the above conditions are normal I would estimate 24.8 average sized domestic cats.
