Yes, and I am sorry to say that it never went away, but became a continual problem.

I would suggest buying a body pillow for sleeping and getting some kind of back support for sitting during the day.

Doing stretching exercises (approved prenatal ones) also really helped. I used this site as reference for mine.

I am glad you asked this question. I am 6 weeks today and I began feeling that last night. The pain isnt real bad just dull aching, but its quite annoying. I dont have my first appt until Im 9 weeks, so I was starting worry something is wrong. So far the looks of some responses it seems to be somewhat normal.

I had back and hip pain very early on, which is mostly due to the body adjusting to the growing baby. Your hips expand, so of course you'll ache! I'm a petite person too (only 5'1") and the pain was almost immediate, but it wasn't excrutiating--only a mild, dull ache. If it worsens, please ask your doctor about any medication or steps you should take in order to lessen them. Pillows and warm compresses have been my biggest comforts!

Yeah, this is normal. This is due to growth, the tendons, ligaments, and muscles are stretching to make room for your baby. If the lower back aches get too bad, you need to see your doctor because then that would be a symtom of an oncoming miscarriage.

I suffered from sciatica throughout this pregnancy and it started right away-really bad where i couldn't walk at 3 months. i have had to go to specialitist and everything (including getting injections to help the pain). but hopefully it isn't that your body could just be adjusting to everything that is changing, just b/c your not big yet your body is still doing a lot.

I didn't have any lower back aches, but all pregnancies are different. There could be a problem and you should call your doctor.

My back pains didn't start until about the 6th month. You could be carrying your baby quite low. I would consult your doctor.

Good luck. Hope the pain stops.

Its common but, I'd make a doctors appointment if you began to do any bleeding.
