I am writing a pursasive speech about making memories, and I want to know why people want to make memories, besides the obvious answer "to remember".

Without memory, time would have no meaning at all. Memories are fragments of our lives that we desperatly try to hold on to so that we can secure a small fraction of ourselves.

So you can compare. When things are going bad you can look back and think "well i remember when..." and it kinda cheers you up to know that if you wait long enough good will come and you can make NEW memories to look back on. Or, when things are great you can look back and say "Wow, look what i overcame." :] And of coarse because memories are just...beautiful. What's life without the moments worth remembering?

I took a mind control course when i was young and included in part of that course learned to separate memory's from the emotions attached to them if i wished to.,which is great to do.since some memory's have terrible emotions attached to them.
I do appreciate some memory's very much,& the emotions attached to them.it is wonderful sometimes to remember. especially since i am getting older now.with so many of my people & dear freinds dead now.

May you be blessed with good memory's

Well the mind retains all the events of your life -- but it doesn't remember everything but it will what you note as important.

And in the end memories end up bieng what you have left of your life, or family members and friends. without them you may not be able the handle grief or other things.

because when you make memories you have something to laugh about with another person, something to smile about and something that you can think about when you are feeling bad. Memories are what molds your life.

hope i helped!
