At some occasions, he is extra cute. But sumtimes, he looks like a nerd. One of my friend commented that he gave an 'alien affect'. But I really like him. After Equus, he disappointed most of his fans.(including me!) What's your opinion?

I don't think he's nerdy, he only looks nerdy due to the Harry Potter glasses effect. I find him adorable but a bit too scrawny. As for the Equus play, I feel he just wanted to get out of the Harry Potter typecast and act in a more mature role. He wanted to prove his worth by playing a controversial role and I applaud him for that.

I think he's phenominal actually. Unless you've seen Equus, PLEASE don't criticize him for doing it.
I saw it - last week.
It was truly the most amazing theatrical performance I have ever seen! Daniel was simply brilliant as Alan Strang, with no hint of Harry Potter in sight. (And I loved him as Harry Potter, so I wouldn't have minded if there had been).
His acting was flawless and so convincing, and I was literally in tears by the end of the play from the raw emotion he puts into showing the vulnerability of the character he portrays.
When I first heard about the play, and the fact that there was nudity involved, and read the "well, yes, but that's not really what the play is about" statements, I couldn't understand why it was necessary.
Now that I've seen the play, the nudity makes sense in the context of what's happening emotionally to the character.
I'd be lying if I didn't admit to noticing that Daniel is utterly flawless without his clothes, but his acting and the heartbreaking emotion he displays at that point in the play actually takes your focus off the fact that he's naked.
Go see it if you can. It will be a theatrical experience you will never forget!
But aside from Equus, or Harry Potter, I think Daniel is truly something special. He is mature and intelligent well beyond his years, and he has a sense of focus and determination that many adults years older than him still lack.

I dunno, I had a celeb crush on him when i was 12 or so when he was 12/13. I liked him better as a cute boy back in the earlier films. Sadly, he does nothing for me now : (
The Equus publicity shots were a wee bit.. disturbing
He was so much cuter when he was younger. But oh well, he couldn't have stayed cute forever

I think he's a little good-looking. The thing that got me hooked on the Harry Potter movies in the first place, was his adorable smile.

I've only seen him in the Potter movies. I think he's cute, but I like brainy looking guys (so yeah, I think with the glasses he's a bit nerdy/smart-looking). I hope he doesn't get typecast, but maybe he's already.
